This is a big year in the life of King’s Church as we step into the new.  Our Vision remains that we want to prioritise God’s presence, we want to be transformed into his likeness, and filled with the Holy Spirit on His Mission for this City.

This next year we want to focus on all of us playing a part in planting seeds in our church and across the community.  A seed might be small but within it lies the potential of life, colour and purpose where before there was darkness.

This next year we want to invest time and financial resources into Raising Faith across the generations, through expanding our front door, and through creativity. With every seed that is sown there is a potential for new life to be grown.  Scripture tells us to plant and to water and the Lord will do the work of growth

“....God gave the growth” 1 Corinthians 3:6b

And so we ask you, the people of King’s what could your seed offering be this year?  How could you play your part in making a financial sacrifice by either increasing your monthly tithe, or by making a one off offering into the ministry here at King’s?

We’re invited to prayerfully consider practising generosity through sacrificial giving. Recognising the current cost of living financial situation, this is an opportunity to invest some of what God has given us, small or large, into seeing God’s kingdom come here in Portsmouth.

Here are some specific areas we are excited to sow into this year...

ALPHA

This year we had a fantastic first Alpha Course and have the vision to increase the amount of courses per year to 3. Could you give towards this, allowing staff time and resources to be allocated to this incredible mission of making the gospel known.

ACADEMY

We are so excited for the goal of relaunching the academy at King’s. The academy is an internship year opening up a pathway for people of all ages to grow in a variety of ways in ministry, and in Biblical literacy. Could you give towards allowing staff time and resources to be allocated to this intentional space for discipleship.

STUDENTS

Citizens is our ministry for 18-23 year olds, which launched at the beginning of this year. We have a growing group who are eager to be with one another in a community following the way of Jesus together. Could you give towards allowing staff time and resources to be allocated to this growing ministry.

CREATIVITY

Over this past year we have been dreaming of more creative ways of sharing the gospel, and it’s exciting to be establishing a team who are committed to serving with their creative giftings in the church and in our community through creative writing, prayer spaces and various expressions of creativity in the digital spaces. Could you give towards this exciting ministry opportunity to enable staff time and resources to see this grow and develop.
